Solstrand opened as a seawater pool in 1896. We still are today. Here you swim with the majestic view of the fjord and the Kvinnherad alps – both inside and outside. Summer and winter.

Whether you choose facial or body care, we work toward the golden moments. The swimming facilities, including an outdoor pool, therapy pool and saunas, are included in the treatment – in line with the Scandinavian spa tradition.

Awaken to fresh sea air and the sounds of the fjord, elements and birdlife. All of our rooms have windows which open toward Bjørnafjorden, the mountains and the garden. The interior is timeless and pastoral – with natural materials such as wool, stone and wood.

Since 1952 we have hosted the Solstrand program – with a focus on leadership, development and collaboration. Solstrand is a favored venue for strategy meetings and gatherings where the conversation and community are important.

The menu
Fish and shellfish from the fjords. Lamb from Western Norway and local vegetables. Life along the coast inspires the dishes. The season’s produce determines the menu.
