Ole Bull - Lysøen
Lysøen was the summer residence of Ole Bull, the renowned violin virtuoso who inspired Edvard Grieg and travelled the world playing Norwegian music. In 1873, he transformed a 175-acre island into the fairytale kingdom that it still is today. Lysøen features a museum, a beautiful concert hall, 13 km of seashell hiking trails and a café.
The museum is open from May to end of August, but off-season visits may be arranged upon request. The facilities may also be reserved for private functions.
